As brought up by lovely Anon, my friends and I started this blogging community over on blogspot. I decided to migrate there.

Farewell!

Seriously. (You have no idea how hard it was to restrain myself from putting “Sirius,” but I didn’t want to jeopardize the very few readers I have left)

I sat in dark, mucky corners with my nose buried in a textbook. On my tests, I wrote in small, cramped writing all the way to the margins, making sure I didn’t leave anything out. I died protecting my unrequited love’s son and beat innocent children. (Okay, not really. I don’t love anyone except fictional characters, and I haven’t beaten any children as of yet.)

Okay, you’re thinking. So you’re a pretty good Snape so far, besides the slight detail of opposite genitalia. But you missed the most vital thing that makes Snape Snape. And with out it, how dare you compare yourself to that sexy, Slytherin beast?

Don’t worry. I didn’t leave it out.

That’s right. I had his hair, too.

Long, greasy hair that hung in front of my face. Not black, but dark brown, that pertained a look like I haven’t washed it in weeks. But really, I washed it EVERY DAY. I remember coming home crying in 7th grade because my friends said I had greasy hair. Have you looked in a mirror at all in the past four years? they said when I looked at them with confusion. And of course I did, but I was in denial.

And then came the vigorous washing every night. Reading up on the internet about different mixtures and shampoos. Touching my hair only a limited about per day. And still – I LOOKED LIKE THE GIRL SNAPE.

Sevaline. Sevilia. Sevanie. Whatever.

And it wasn’t until two days ago, two years later, that I came up with the solution.I wasn’t using enough shampoo.

My hair is thick. Thick and full. I have twice as much hair on my head than normal people. So why shouldn’t I use twice as much as shampoo?

I tried it on Tuesday, lathering my hair with the amount of shampoo appropriate for a small elephant. And I came out looking like some Victoria’s Secret model or something. (Woah there, Tianna! Let’s not get too cocky)

And it made me wonder, maybe just maybe, how much the Harry Potter series could have changed if I could go back, find Severus, and teach him the Sacred Art. The Art of Finally Clean Hair.

I will try and post more. Like, seriously.

Somethings that have happened while I was gone:

• I won the Harry Potter sweepstakes. Okay, well, my sister did, but I figured that was going to be the only time you’ll ever see me write “I” and “won” and “sweepstakes” in the same sentence (unless I write “I HAVE NOT won the Harry Potter sweepstakes, which is certainly more likely), so I should seize the moment. Yup, $500 of Harry Potter stuff – wand pens, t-shirts (Yippie, as I currently have only 5 which I wear every week in a different order ^^), STATIONARY SET (super cool), and other stuff. <3 Tay is the luckiest person I have ever known. She used to win all the baskets at our elementary school’s Ice Cream Social, too. She needs to enter the lottery. Thanks again, sis!

• I turned fifteen on July 16, 2011. I’ll quickly mention my birthday presents, too: from my mom, a 15 dollar iTunes giftcard and gum // from my dad, money to either spend or save // from my friends, book, cards, water bottle, and this awesome book called “Double Dare Book for Girls” or something like that // and from my sister, Harry Potter bracelets, Cooking Mama (a game which I can now say is particularly awesome), and Harry Potter Playstation games // and from my brother, nothing. xD For my birthday party, we went to go to the midnight premiere and I brought along two friends. My birthdays have always been extra-special to me, because that’s when all the Harry Potter premieres and release dates have landed on or been close to. The Deathly Hallows Part Two Midnight Premiere was no exception. <3 Which leads me onto the next topic…

• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. I figure you’ve already read too much Harry Potter reviews and “this isn’t the end!” type of stuff, so I won’t go on about that [right now]. But I will say Harry Potter HAS forever changed my life, starting with my mom reading HPatSS every night before I went to bed when I was little.  Thank you, JK Rowling, for my childhood. We have home-videos of me and my siblings decked up in Harry Potter robes, fighting trolls. xD (PS: The DH movie certainly has some moments that can make the fanfiction go crazy, right?)

• The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is coming out FIVE MONTHS early. I’m super excited to read it. Of course, I’ve already forced my mom to pre-order it for me. (:

• I’ve read 100 books in my goal of 50 already. Safe to say, my goal has now been upped to120.

• Going to Harry Potter Under the Big-Top event at Circus, Circus, and winning so much stuff. 15 private showing tickets to DH midnight premiere, the Sorting Hat, 5 Harry Potter posters, 3 Harry Potter t-shirts, and 3 HP keychains. We went dressed up as well. My mom looks so much like Bellatrix, it’s UNREAL.

• I went (finally) to a voice doctor, where I got to see some pretty gnarly up-close pictures of my vocal chords. So my left (or was it my right?) vocal chord has been scarred or stiff or something ever since I was a baby. Looks like I’m perpetually going to have this soft voice unless I wish to partake in surgery (um, not really) but I’ll be starting voice therapy sessions in September.

To wrap it off, THANK YOU EVERYONE who has been coming to this site despite my absence. (:

As we all know, if you hand me even ONE paper to write in two hours, I stress out. I do better with un-timed free writes where the administrators aren’t breathing down our necks the entire time (because there must be a dictionary hidden in the eraser shavings, or a thesaurus tattooed on our elbow).

I left the room devastated and went home crying to my mom about how it was one of the worst essays  I’ve ever written. Sure, the first one was okay – but the second one. Forget about. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst, mine was Twilight. I worried that I came across too witty and care-free in the last essay. I might have seemed even a  little insane. I cracked stupid jokes and finished the essay with cheesy one-liner, partly because I wanted to be original, mostly because I only had 2 minutes left.  But after looking back, I was convinced I hadn’t taken it seriously enough and earned a zero. Cue the crying.

But as I found out just today.

 I got the highest score out of all the eighth grade. My sister told me at lunch because she has the same English teacher, and although my friend’s ears weren’t severly damaged, a chicken nugget was flung half way across the room.

An 11.5 out of 12. No one got a perfect score, but I was darn close to. I keep on thinking that I’m going to get a letter that says, “Sorry, we made a mistake. Forgot to move the decimal one place ever. 1.15. Welcome to the streets!”

Although I’m more than thankful to have earned the best score, why me? I’m certianly not the best writer, but I enjoy it all the same.When speaking fails me (which happens often enough), I refer to writing.

Take this as a lesson. Believe in yourself. Whenever you think you did the wost job ever, it might turn out to be the best. x3

If you haven’t figured out, it’s spring break this weekend. That’s the sole reason I have this much time to post. I’ve been reading so much this week – finished 3 books and started on a 4th. I’ve now read 45 books this year; my goal was 50, but I think it’s safe to say I should bump it up a bit. How about 100? 115? I’ll need some more book recommendations, so if any of you few people that actually go on here, feel free to leave some titles.

I think I’ll name some of the most awesome books I’ve read so far in 2011.

• Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
• This Isn’t What it Looks Like by Pseudonymous Bosch (first time ever spelling his name right)
• The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
• The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
• Zombicorns by John Green
• and City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I’ve always been a bit of a reader, but without this project I think it’s safe to say I would never have read this amazing books. I would definitely recommend checking some of them out.

When I like something, I just can’t like it. I have to love it, adore it, take it on a date and make out with it (okay, not that much, but almost that much).

Take Harry Potter for example. Many people like it. After all, it’s one of the greatest books in history. But would they take it on a date and make out with it? Probably not. Well, I wouldn’t either. But you get my point.

When I love something, I can’t keep quiet. I have to tell everyone I know about it. This applies to Harry Potter, music, and even the latest book I read. I guess that’s one of the reasons I love being a nerdfighter. I can rave on about something I love to other people who share the same interests.

Anyways, why would I bring this up, you ask hypothetically.

Well, because I read a book I – gasp – love, I answer hypothetically.

And as you just learned, there is NO WAY I’m going to keep quite about it. So if you’re not in the mood for a full-on pointless rant, you have been warned.

I just read the best book ever. And even though I’ve said this millions of times before, I mean it. Really.

Of course, I’m talking about Anna and the French Kiss by Stephenie Perkins. Even John Green loved this book! You can’t blame me!

AATFK is basically a 372-page filled novel about love, romance, Canadian flags, Paris, and (but I might be mistaken, because it’s not like it’s in the title of the book or anything) a Kiss. The idea itself is not entirely original, but who cares? Anna and the FK will become your next favorite book.

I think one of the reasons I liked this book so much was because of Étienne St.Clair (is it just me, or does the accent over the “e” make it look that much cuter?). Not only does he have a charming, witty, and plain adorable personality, but -well- somewhat attractive. If St. Clair was an equation, it would look something like this:

British Accent + Fluent French + Great Hair + Crooked Teeth + Adorable Hat = WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE FICTIONAL?!?!

I’m not yet done with the book. I’m savoring it chapter-by-chapter, sucking in the adorableness.

You should really read It. If you like hot French/British/American guys, you won’t be disappointed.

In other news, it’s FINALLY spring vacation. I haven’t done much except have a Harry Potter party on the weekend, and do my track work outs for the day. I’m thinking about doing the 200m at the track meet this time.  I really don’t think I’m fit enough for anything longer than half a lap. xD DARN YOU, CINNABUNS.

In other other news, I’m obsessed with Anna and the French Kiss by Stephenie Perkins. The only reason I put the book down was because I wanted to waste away on the computer for a couple seconds…which turned into hours. I’m officially IN LOVE with St. Clair, a character in the book. Fluent French + British Accent = time to fangirl.

Best Live Entertainment–Describe the best live entertainment (theatre, concert, comedy, etc.) you’ve ever experienced

I have actually only been to one concert in my entire life. Not counting all those concerts my mom forced me to go to.

I’m a HUGEE fan of David Archuleta, so when he came around to my city, I NEEDED to go. Basically, it was perfect. His songs were great, my throat was sore from all that screaming, and he was SOO cute. xD

If I won the lottery–What would you do? Finish the statement

I’m going to say I would give some of it to charity, because you’re pretty much obligated to say that every time. If you don’t, you’re a bad person.

But AFTER I finish being generous and kind-hearted, I’d probably buy  A LOT of things. Including

• a proper bookshelf. I’ve been needing one for a while.
• books to FILL my proper bookshelf.
• Harry Potter series in Norwegian (I’ve looked them up online; some are as high as $100. Yikes.)
• norwegian vocabulary
• norwegian-english dictionary
• Norwegian For Beginners
• a new iPod (mine got stolen twice. Long story. I brought Karen (yes, she has a name) to school. I let one of my friends listen to her, who was moving away that weekend. She said she lost it, but really stole it, figuring there was no way I could get it back because she was moving. Thankfully, I started crying hysterically to my mom, who called her dad, who went to talk to her, who was coincidentally listening to it that very second. I’ve never really forgiven her – after all, I downloaded all of MY songs onto her iPod two months earlier. Apparently that wasn’t enough. Anyway, I got it stolen again after that. Some jerk went and stole it from my backpack when I was in PE. Wow, sorry, this was a  long explanation.

Best Advice–That piece of advice you got that you’ll never forget

Unfortunately, I’m cutting this blog short. It’s bed time, and I’m exhausted. I have an 8 paragraph essay to do for history, a short story to write for English that my teacher is forcing us to present on Friday (help me, please!), and two pages of math to do.

Blogging is the last thing on my mind.

The best advice I’ve ever received? Don’t do your homework at the last minute.

I still need to learn this lesson.
