On The Other Side

I’m pretty confident about these lyrics, but I might have misheard a couple things. :)

On The Other Side by Ministry of Magic Lyrics

Up the spiral staircase only to find one empty perch within an empty room
A sealed up snitch, a book of nursery rhymes
The end of all our conversations

Close my eyes
Maybe I am only dreaming
Try to lie to myself
You are only sleeping
Close my eyes, I close my eyes

And so the phoenix cries
And so the phoenix flies

I gotta always keep in mind
Another great adventure waits on the other side
I’ll see you on the other side

Even if the Hallows were at my grip
They’d only make me my own enemy
Watching over me since I left my crib
One of a thousand things you taught me

Close my eyes
Maybe I am only dreaming
Try to lie to myself
You are only sleeping
Close my eyes
I close my eyes

And so the phoenix cries
And so the phoenix flies

I gotta always keep in mind
Another great adventure waits on the other side
I’ll see you on the other side

Close my eyes
Maybe I am only dreaming
Try to lie to myself,
You are only sleeping
Close my eyes

And so the phoenix cries
And so the phoenix flies

I’ll always keep in mind
Another great adventure waits on the other side
I’ll see you on the other side

Maybe I am only dreaming
To myself, you are only sleeping

  1. I’m pretty sure it’s: “Even if the Hallows were at my grip…”

  2. Oh god! I just realized what scene inspired this. I thought it was just generally a song about not fearing death but it’s about what Harry realizes seconds before he died, oh god <3

    • I think it’s about after Dumbledore died, hence the “A sealed up snitch, a book of nursery rhymes
The end of all our conversations” and the lyrics in the chorus.
